Q&A with Montez
What's your role at the firm and how long have you worked here?:
I’ve been employed by Hulsey, Harwood & Sheridan for 19 ½ years, starting part-time in 2004 to assist in the Plan Administration and Retirement Planning area. I am now transitioning to the Administrative area and will be assisting in several areas as needed.
Did you go to college, and if so, where and what degree did you get?
I do not have a degree. I have attended LSU-Alexandria and the University of Louisiana Monroe. I’ve attended numerous schools and Continuous Education courses in Plan Administration.
Tell us about your family.
My husband Bill (Sonny) and I have one son. He and his wife and 3 children have lived in Germany for the last 20 years. They are employed by the Department of Defense Dependents School system (DODDS/DODEA) and teach military children on American bases in Germany. One grandchild currently resides with us.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a child I was interested in becoming a teacher, a secretary or a stewardess.
What's the last TV show you binge-watched?
I love to watch PBS, particularly the British Comedy and British Mystery shows. Most recently I’ve watched numerous episodes of Midsomer Murders.
What's your favorite time of day and why?
My favorite time of the day is sunset. I love the many shades of colors that appear, sometimes for only a short period. There is a peace that surrounds me at the close of the day.
What's your favorite family tradition?
My favorite family tradition (for the past 20 years) is our Sunday morning call to Germany to talk to the family and see how everyone’s week was and to hear their voices.
