Q&A with Sarah
What's your role at the firm and how long have you worked here?
I joined the firm in May 2015. I work on tax returns for various clients, both individuals and businesses. I work closely with my business clients to provide them with accounting and payroll support. I also work closely with our automobile dealerships providing accounting, financial statements, and tax services.
Did you go to college, and if so, where and what degree did you get?
I attended ULM and received my bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minor in computer information systems.
Tell us about your family.
I grew up in a large family as the middle of seven children. I married Blake, an only child, in May 2014. We have two wonderful children, Isla and Levi. Unlike me, all three of them are talkers and have long, beautiful eyelashes. We also have three dogs, two cats, and a bee hive.
If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Potatoes
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I don’t remember, but not an accountant.
What's the last TV show you binge-watched?
Probably Guy’s Grocery Games. Honestly, it’s hard enough making it through a whole movie in one night with little kids, much less binding a tv show. I really do enjoy spending what little free time I do have in a good book or with a puzzle instead.
What's your favorite time of day and why?
Early mornings when I get to spend time with God to start my day, and evenings when I first get to see my family after a day at work.
What's your favorite family tradition?
love having Christmas evenings with my family, it’s one of the only time we all are able to get together. And I’m also enjoying starting Christmas morning just Blake and the kids.
What is your favorite Bible verse or motivational quote?
Matthew 11:28-30: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
